    For all the beeries in and around Cork;

    The Abbott's Ale House have out of date Hommelbier (7.5% abv) 6 50cl bottles for €10.

    It's out of date since December last year but I reckon it's just reaching maturity now and I'd predict that it's good for a year at least. I just bought 60 bottles!

    For anyone who doesn't know this beer, it's a Belgian, very hoppy ale from Popperings in Watou. It's quite pale and is bottle conditioned. It's a fantastic party beer and oh, so hoppy but not like an American beer. There are a few 'Belgian pale ales' knocking around now (la Chouffe do one) but my theory is that Hommel is the original!

    I recommend this beer highly - especially at 6 for €10 !!
