Would anyone be able to share with me any websites they found helpful or where to get supplies online in ireland?

ive been to http://irishcraftbrewer.com/ and http://www.noobru.com/ which i found both great for information.
got my starting kit and first supplies off noobru, pretty good service.

    any info would be great!

thehomebrewcompany.ie is a good online retailer. Jimsbeerkit.co.uk or thehomebrewforum.co.uk are other great forums for brewing info

The Homebrew Company are great. Great selection of everything and fast delivery.
I've also used HomeBrewWest and there great too. Great value and fast shipping aswell.

Never tried it, but I've heard good things about it from those who have.

Lads, there was a post in this thread at 12.45 yesterday.

Some of you decided it was a shill, and then proceded to tell the poster of your suspicions.

It would have been nice if even one of you had reported the post also, using this button report.gif.

Instead, it wasn't reported until this morning, when I deleted it, but the person had already gotten a good few hours free advertising.

In future, it you suspect a shill/spam, report it immediately, instead of cracking wise in the thread.

In fairness I think it probably did more damage than good to their business.

I think ripping the p*ss out of fake-happy-customers is a far more effective strategy than just deleting them. If they're called out and made squirm often enough, maybe some day they'll stop doing it. There are several businesses I now won't use because of their fake-happy-customer act on Boards. If their posts had been deleted before I saw them, they'd basically have got away with it.

I understand why shilling is against the rules, and I think the decision to delete was inevitable, once it was established that it was indeed a shill: that's fair enough.

But I don't think it should be up to us the non-mod users to police the board when the issue is not a serious one (libel; personal details; naughty linkage etc).

I'm not asking you to police the board.

I'm asking you to not engage with shills/spammers, and to just report them

    Thanks.

Yes, that's what I meant by "police".
