Are all these problems that you all are experiencing down to exchanges being overloaded at peak hours?

Can everyone on UPC broadband please say which exchange+area you live in? I'm intrested in changing from Eircom to UPC at the moment. Though i doubt that its worth it if I get the kind of problems that you all seem to have :p.

    Thanks.

UPC do not use exchanges its a completely separate system using a mixture of fibre optic and coaxial cable.

    New night same crap 573103373.png

I am not being ungrateful but its not my router and I have been on to UPC many times.

Its not just a speed issue the slow speed is a symptom of a larger problem.

Me posting these results up here are prove and a record.

All people can offer are opinions the readings I am posting show a clear pattern.

I tried it not long ago and got about 5mb speeds, downloading something now and it's happy sitting at anything from 1000-1150kB/s sometime a little lower.

Looks like your slowly getting your speed back. Maybe if you keep doing it you'll have 10mb later this evening

I should mention the connection being unstable only happened at the weekend.

The speeds are now slow at peak times but the connection is stable apart from the weekend.

My HD box was given me sound problems too however is seems to have been updated in the last few days and its now fine.

If this is contention I can live with slow speeds at peak time once the connection remains stable for gaming.

I've had enough tbh.i don't mind the speed issues its the regular occurrence of sites not loading that has me pulling my hair out.I'm with them five days and not one hour has passed in that time that i haven't had a problem.

    Hi there,
My daughter is having similar problems with her xbox disconnecting. I also have problems with my laptop as it keeps freezing and I was blaming the broadband but maybe it was the UPC. Can anyone please advise how to get the tables with the speeds so I can have something to say on the phone to UPC. Many thanks and happy new year

firs step would be starting a new thread for your issue and not dragging up and old thread from 2009. ;)

Takes a lot of effort from a first time poster to drag up a 5 year old thread on new years day.

Me smells a smear campaign ;)
