Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Last Mile Coverage - Is something different?

    Hiya All

Can anyone tell me if Last Mile have upgraded their kit or something?

Reason I'm asking is I noticed that a local school has their kit up and facing the local mast but I'm finding it hard to see how they are getting line of site to that mast.

If their coverage checker is anything to go by then it states I can get their service too. I can't see the mast from the ground (must ask himself to go up on the roof one of the days and have a nosey:D) I'm currently using a mobile provider and it's getting worse by the day so I'm looking at anything at the moment.

Would love to see the likes of Airwire locally but I doubt that'll ever happen:rolleyes:

    Cheers - bijou

Depends on the technology, close to the mast Wimax would work fine through light trees, it can even take reflections off buildings without line of sight.

Lastmile might not be to bothered about the quality of a signal to a school as the teachers themselves wouldn't be footing the bill

Pog thanks for that - I'm wondering if they have many subscribers left since the exchange was enabled (frenchpark) and I noticed a few bits of kit coming off houses etc. I'm tempted to get them to do a survey but I don't fancy waiting ages for the refund if there's no signal.
