Dark Anime Reccomendations?

I've watched a few good anime's recently...
Death note was fantastic, and so was Elfin lied and Shingetsutan Tsukihime. Anybody know any similar types of anime i could start watching?
Preferably somethng that doesnt go on for about 200 episodes though

If you liked Tsukihime(based off a doujin VN) try Higurashi and Umineko.

Serial Expirements Lain if you haven't already.

Also if you like stuff that starts out goofy and gets dark fairly fast(like Higurashi) try some Tokusatsu like Cutie Honey the Live and Kamen Rider Ryuki. Lots of dark **** happens in those despite the cheese factor.

It's not that dark though. It's more Gundam SEED like. Bad **** happens, but it's hard to take it seriously. Not as bad as it's reputation, it's entertaining to watch(and has some great mech designs/action) but if you're looking for a satisfactory "Dark" anime look elsewhere.

i've only just started watching it, but Jigoku Shōjo or Hell Girl seems intriguing.

Ghosthound and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

EDIT: Bible Black, I know it is a hentai but it has a good story and is very dark in a Satan, witchcraft kinda way.
