Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My sister's computer keeps throwing up a blue screen of death. I haven't got all the details unfortunately but apparently there's something about chkdsk. It's Windows 2000 and she doesn't have the install disc...I know this is vague but is there any chance of recovery?

chkdsk is standard thing to run if the OS crashes and needs to verify the contents of the disk on the next boot.

You really need to give more details. Does it crash on boot up ? Does it stay up for a few mins then crash ? Does it crash when opening a certain program ?

Also, if possible you should try and get the details of the blue screen, i.e. what caused it. It should give some "vague" message at the top of the screen like STOP_ERROR or something and also a hex value at the bottom such as

5x000000051 or some other crap like that. It would be handy to have this info to try and determine the root cause..
