We did this before, and I'd like to try it again.

THis is a thread where you can post up about events that you know are going to happen in UCD over the next week.

Maybe Sci-fi is showing all of Battlestar Galactica in one giant marathon, maybe Game-soc are LARPING (is that right?) with real Battletechs, maybe Pagan soc are going for a solstice dance around Newgrange, maybe Eng-Soc are building a nuke.

This will make it far easier for people to know whats on in UCD, and not miss out on events.

    Get posting!

EDIT btw www.ucd.ie/events is similar, but doesn't have a lot of smaller events in it.

Veg Society event, Thursday 1st October
*First ever UCD Veg Soc event ever!!*

To celebrate national vegetarian day and the set-up of UCD’s first Veg Society, we are holding a pot luck on Thursday 1st of October at 6pm in room B101 in Arts (to be confirmed). This is an event where everyone cooks something sweet or savory (or both) to share with everybody and it should be quite a tasty evening! Please mark your dishes as vegetarian, vegan and suitable for egg-free, dairy-free, gluten-free or raw food diets.

All vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs, raw foodists, pescetarians, others with odd diets and lovers of vegetarian foods are welcome to come along :D

Bring along an empty lunch box so that you can dish all sorts of food into and eat out of it. I figure this is going to be a lot easier than everyone bringing plates, washing them or the instability of paper plates! And some cutlery would be a good idea too; the universal spoon should suit all possibilities.

Bring any interested friends along (there’s no fee to take part, just bring something along) and I look forward to seeing you at the event!

I’ll send an email to everyone who expressed interest in Veg Soc during freshers week. If you would like to attend and be added to this list, just let me know via pm.

I hate when people ask questions they already know the answers to in order to state a smarmy opinion.

Anyone with even a minor understanding of politics knows that the AWM is a front group for the SWP. Give it three weeks and ya'll be selling the Socialist Worker outside grimy pubs like millions of gullible idiots in the past.

Simply, because there is a difference between this:
    http://irishantiwar.org/
(A group originally started by members of the SWP)

    and this:

Overrepresentation is not the same as control.
Of course socialist politicians are going to be involved in the anti war movement.

I'm pretty sure that means campiagns they are activly involved in , rather than what they control.
They dont' control the service charges campaign for example, tho are heavily invovled, they definitly don't control the marriage equality or no to lisbon campiagns either.

Actually that's an event, which is hosted by this group, who list the exact website that you gave above as their website. Go take a look, if you like.
