    Drove down to Cork to visit my parents recently. I decided to drive to Gougane Barra to take some photos, but on my way there, the heavens opened and i only managed to get a handful of shots. Beautiful spot.

    For those of you not familiar with Gougane Barra, it's an area near Ballingeary in Cork, off the Bantry Road. There's a little lake, surrounded by moutains, with the remains of a monastic settlement on the island. You also have a little church that's used frequently for weddings. It's a fantastically peaceful and calm place.
