ok so lot of solicitors when calculating stamp duty were workinmg it out on the gross figure of the invt property (Incl 13.5% Vat) when they should have been calculating it on the net amount. If you have an Invt property/Res Property that u paid stamp on check to see if the solicitors calcs are correct could be worth a few grand to you
