Personally, I think none of them are anything special and wouldn't really rate them, but the above order is how I'd put them if cornered.

Gears is way too repetitive for me. Halo 2 was better than 3. and Resistance 1 was better than 2 (Single-player anyway).

That's actual crazy talk. Halo 2 is universally agreed as a rushed job and the weakest of the series. The only thing that saved it was the mulitplayer.

I'd go Halo 3, GoW2 and Resistance 2.
Saying that, I haven't played Resistance and I despise GoW2's cover system and its stay dead til the end of the round multiplayer. Thinks it's counter-strike does it?

I have'nt played halo 3 so it's Gears of war 2 over resistance 2.

I played Killzone 2 as well but i never really got into it. It really irritated me when i found i could'nt swap the pistol for another weapon.

Personally it depends on what you mean by better. In terms of singler player, multi player or the whole package. For me, gears is top for singler player, halo 2 for mutliplayer and resistence two for the whole package (it had a solid and fleshed out, but not fantastic, single player as well as an indepth coop and competitive online game play).

Haven't played Resistence 2. Tried a demo of the first one and it didn't seem to be my cup of tea, enemies being the almighty bullet sponges that they are. They should have more demos up on PSN!
