Ploughing Championships Thursday

    Has there been much traffic congestion heading to and from the ploughing to Carlow over the last few days? I'm going to it tomorrow, thinking of leaving at 8am - is this wise or should I leave earlier/later?

    Some eejit planned major road works in Carlow for the week of the ploughing. They closed the hacketstown road between the hacketstown road roundabout and the turn into the new super valu.

    And then there was more unplanned closures while they re-surfaced the hacketstown roundabout and put the road markings on it.
