Gig Shoot Opportunity

Hi All,

I run Gigs for bands in Dublin (unsigned acts) through a website called Gigsmart Ireland ... I will preface by saying our set up isnt for everyone...we run as a co operative, and generally make enough money to keep our books in order and stay legit...we charge minimum entry fee and no one really makes squat.:D

We are having our Hallowe'en fancy dress gig on the 29th Oct in the Button Factory and thought Id offer someone an opportunity to stretch photographic digits?

I will be shooting the gig myself anyway , but thought Id extend an invite to some boardsies here.... the button factory tends to be a great place to get some cool shots and the lighting guys in there are very obliging.....

Im not looking for a freebie from anyone, but would like to host some pics you may shoot on our website....as I said Ill shoot the gig myself, Im merely offering people an opportunity photograph some bands and a load of heads dressed up in a great venue...

Ive also asked the comedy board guys if maybe they wanna participate in a fun night. As I said it is what it is - a bit of fun , your shots remain your own, it may be an opportunity to showcase to bands what you can do etc. etc

Anyway gig is 29th Oct Button Factory PM if your interested.

Apologies un neccesary, I think your comment is fair enough. Ive just read my thread and perhaps it isnt clear enough.

Im not paying anyone for photos.

If people want to come along and take pics great , if they want to share the pics of the gig great, if they dont thats ok too. Its a good venue, there will be people dressed up, its subject matter for enthusiasts to shoot.

No worries, big venue plenty of room if things change sure let me know and I'll pop you on the list.... "Steel Panther" I dont know who they are , but ya can be damn sure with a name like that Im off to google

I might take you up on this if you don't mind, tbmc is a great venue to shoot, and it's getting a bit repetitive shooting metal bands all the time so a bit of variety wouldn't go astray.

More than welcome along Ghost, looks like we will have a good crew along.

I have suggested to Tommy, one of the guys coming to shoot the gig that we should possibly get everyone together for a quick introduction session?

There will be a few people shooting so it would be good to get everyone comfortable so everyone can make the most of it?.
