Problems getting on internet

    Hi,

Following on from my earlier post looking for drivers for Toshiba Satelite Pro M30, which I got, I now have issues with connecting to internet.

When I try to connect to any page I get website found waiting for reply for ages. It's a brand new install of xp, so no viruses of any sort. I reset the winsock, i did sfc /scannow. Drivers are all in place and when I look at network connection it says connected. Here's the thing, when i ping certain addresses from command line i get a response, i just pinged www.rte.ie and got 4 packets received. I also managed to connect to google through IE using the Ip address of google, only thing i could connect to. This would suggest a dns issue, i have the dns set to automatic. I'm connecting via D-Link router, I also have 2 other laptops connected one running and one running vista and both connect fine, so it's not a router issue.

    I'm baffled, any ideas?
