Heroin problem in Cork. Just how bad is it?

Grew up in Cork but moved away from there 7 years ago. Heroin was almost unheard of when i lived there. It was all Coke and Yolks. Just how bad is the Heroin problem?

It's defo very worrying, I know folks who have served time for various offences, some drug related some not. They think there is a serious heroin prob in Cork. About two years ago a chap ODd in a rented house in Earlwood Estate. I believe the pharmacy in North Main Street by Dunnes in a Methodone clinic.

Action is needed fairly sharpish. It's not too far into the future when under 18s and over 55 year olds will be few and far between in the city due to parents not allowing them to go there and they themselves not feeling happy to go there respectively.
