Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea all have tricky enough away ties, though they should all come through.

    Result

    Pompey 0 -1 Everton Saha 42

Sounds like Everton spent much of the game under the kosh but Pompey couldn't find a way through.

It's not so much about being the last man and more about preventing a goalscoring opportunity

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    1-0 to arsenal, van persie.

But as CHD said Fulham don't deserve to be behind.

Great win for Arsenal. Man of the match display from Mannone - played very well, commanded the box excellently, and some super saves too. Happy days:)

Burnley were shoite yesterday, we could have won 10-0.

I like Coyle, but they'll struggle for the rest of this season. I hope they enjoyed those few wins.

    Agree about Burnley yesterday.

Spurs didn't really have to do much to beat them in that the Burnley defence just looked woeful. Burnely really look like two different teams home and away.

    Home Played 3 Won 3 Scored 5 Conceeded 1
    Away Played 4 Lost 4 Scored 0 Conceeded 14

They have played Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and Stoke away, so they have gotten a fair few of their tougher away games out of the way. If they continue to maintain their home form they are in with a shout of staying up.

They have a reasonably decent run of fixtures coming up with Birmingham(h), Blackburn (a), Wigan(h), Hull (h). Might well be value in betting terms especially if they maintain their home form. Also if they pick up a fair chunk of points out of these games they will have established a nice bedrock of points in terms of staying up even before the end of October, which would be pretty decent for a promoted side.

Burnley are clearly defying gravity at home, one bad defeat at Turfmoor and that'll break the confidence in thier castle, it'll be all down hill from then on.

Lucky as they were to get all 3 points. Fulham will be fighting for a space in Europe at the end of the season.

Yet again a day of no draws in the PL yesterday. Still only 4 since the season started, none involving teams in the top half of the table.

How are Reid and Doyle doing?

What sort of influence has Reid had on proceedings? Doyle looking sharp?

Also how's Bent doing (for fantasy football purposes [i.e. any chance of bonus points] ) goals/winning penalty aside?
