Last bill from Eircom when switching?

I am thinking of switching from eircoms 3mb phone and broadband bundle to Vodafones 7mb bundle. I was just wondering what happens with the billing when you switch? Does Eircom still charge you up until the point you switch or is it all taken care of by Vodafone?
