Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Familiar story so far. No problems going forward, but looking a bit fragile when forced to defend.


    Gerrard still looks off the pace to me. I'm wondering if the fact he has far less freedom on the pitch since Xabi left is the cause of his average start to this season. When we had Xabi in the centre, he tended to do a lot of the mopping up, tempo setting, and basically the less eye catching stuff in the centre that required a lot of discipline to do.

    Should still have too much for Hull over the 90 minutes though.


    Am hoping that Agger starts to pop up from here in though.


    Plenty of positives on the pitch though, none moreso than Torres looking sharper than he has done for a long time.

    Wonder how long Torres will get in the second half?
    If we get another goal he's surely the obvious candidate.
    Will he get his hat-trick?

    As someone mentioned Gerrard definately not in top form - some flashes but not on top of the game - wonder how much of this is due to his midfield position today?

    Insua having a great game - seems like he is really determined to hang on to his place. I expect Aurelio mid-week and Insua to retain his place for the Chelsea game.

    The goal against an obvious disappointment but it looks like the defence is reacting to the defence's bad start. However it looks like at the moment that the reaction isn't exactly working.

    Fingers crossed for a 3rd goal by Nando on 61 mins to complete his hat-trick and subbed off immediately for N'gog
    Wouldnt be surprised to see Babel for Kuyt as well.
