Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The nephew has just started college and needs a film camera. I dug out my old Nikon FG but I see the battery cover is missing, anyone an idea of where I'd pick one up, and what battery does it take. It been years since I used a film camera. Found my old pentax K1000 too, gosh it felt nice to manually focus and click, even if it was empty. It's kinda renewed my interest.

I've got some stuff from these guys before and find them great. They're fast and reliable. You will find what you need listed here

    http://www.bocaphoto.com/products/new/nikon/nikonparts.htm

It uses LR44 batteries and as far as I remember it needs two. The Kodak code is A76 or 2013, Cat. No. 898 6333 and should be easy enough to find.

Sorry, can't help you with the Nikon but heck yeah go get a roll of whatever you fancy and stick it into the K1000 - I love my Me Super and just yesterday took out a recently acquired z70 for a test drive. The z70 is way younger but still I loved shooting with it. Can't wait to see the results. True, Manual focus used to be so easy in them days.
