Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well, the fight didn't go well, we may as well have this thread about Jimmy Magee.

Personally, it's the name that does it for me.

It might do him good to lose a fight anyway

he's too cocky imo, going into every fight convinced you're going to win is only a good system until you lose!

Quote of the night from Jimmy - he needs to leave the milk and go to the next house.

It might do him good to lose a fight anyway

Any boxer who isn't convinced he's going to win is guaranteed to lose!

Funniest story I heard about Magee...

Mate comes up to Jim: Jimmy, Jimmy!!! Do ya remember me, Jim???
Jim: No, no! I don't think so!
Mate: You're some f**king "Memory Man", aren't ya?

Mate walks away in a huff!

    Twas funny back in 68!!!!!!

only because the fights he commentates on are figments of his imagination, not the one live at the time. stupid stupid comments that make sense only to himself and piss poor commentary on the fights.

Just keep him away from Premier League Saturday. Otherwise, I couldn't give a fck about the man.

The commentary was a joke "I didnt see a punch there", cue slow mo replay of a very clear punch twatting Dunne in the face, "Oh right"

Jimmy on Tyson Fury said at least twice "A big white man such as himself could make a lot of money in America, that's not racist by the way." What a man.

Jimmy Magee is like an encyclopedia of sport and I admire that but his commentary really grinds my gears. When he's commentating on a soccer match I have to mute the TV because he is so bad and so far behind in the game and generally he's pretty lost as to whats going on.

You just have to watch his live commentary on Maradonna's 'best goal of all time' to see what that man really knows about sport. Good for a laugh though.

It looked like that Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym acknowledged that Jimmy Magee is a legend when he went over to him to tap his knuckles.
