If you give away products that you sell as a form of marketing, say you give some away to a charity to auction or a radio station to give away can the value of the products you give away be deemed as business expense and so be written off against tax as a business expense?

I'm not sure if you can right them off but you will certainly have to self account for the VAT on the goods as a self supply.
