    Today my phone just has the message ENTER SIM

    I have tried taking out the battery and SIM and re-entering it but as soon as the phone powers up again I get the same message!!

    Any ideas?

    Your SIM is probably fecked. Call your provider.

    Try it in another phone on the same network, or a handset that you know is unlocked. The sim is probably needs to be replaced, which can be done on the spot instore in any network shops for free, but if you check it in another phone, and it works, then you know the phone is faulty.

    I took it to Vodafone after work and I had to get a new SIM - all done in a matter seconds:)

    but my contacts were on the SIM and I have lost them all!!!:mad:
