Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Getting hair coloured

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question.

I am getting colour into my hair at the end of the week, a semi-permanent dye into my hair.

I never asked in the hair salon, do I wash my hair before I go or do you do it the night before or is the colour applied to wet hair

Could someone here tell me? Salon is closed today and tomorrow?:)

    Thanks

When I get my hair coloured, it is always applied to dry hair. I do wash my hair before that but that's just because I have a shower and wash my hair every morning, not because I've ever been told to. I don't think it matters if you wash it the night before or whatever.

Most of the dyes you buy in chemists and stuff say, "Apply to dry, unwashed hair" so take from that what you will! You'd be grand if you washed it the night before. I mean, if it was a colour that needed to be applied to wet hair, they'd wash it for you there and then.

dye usually works better when applied to hair that was washed the day before or greasy hair....the hair soaks up the colour alot better..
