Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The last remaining fixture from this week takes place tonight at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Stephen Ireland is unlikely to play after contracting a virus, Micah Richards is a major doubt, and Robinho, Onouha and Adebayor remain sidelined.

On a more positive note, Roque Santa Cruz should make his first appearance tonight after being given the all clear by the club's medical team.

Expecting a team along the lines of -

    Given

    Zabaleta
    Toure
    Lescott
    Bridge

    De Jong

    Wright-Phillips
    Barry

    Bellamy
    Petrov

    Tevez

Subs: Taylor, Weiss, Sylvinho, Santa Cruz, Garrido, Johnson, Ball

out on a limb i'll say 4-2 City.

lots of attractive attacking football hopefully, so i'm really looking forward to this.

    hopefully Cole with West Ham's 2 :p

    *ahem* FF *ahem*

after the dodgy display against utd

cities defence will find it very hard against cole I reckon

and at 10-1 to score first ,10/3 to score anytime and 5/1 to score first for their team

    looks a good bet imo

The forwards in that team is like the attack of the little people.

Whats up with Kompany? Also if he is injured is De Jong better?!

    Yes, de Jong is quality.

I reckon de Jong is a class act. I am going for 3-1 to City. I have Given in my FF team so wouldn't mind him keeping a clean sheet.

What do you mean by dodgy display.......................................................................................?????

Wait, hold on, I swore to myself after an altercation with Utd fans here on boards before not ever to bother again..........
    No point

Back to enjoying a good display from City hopefully

    :D;):p

It means United could only scrape a victory against a dodgy side so obviously aren't that good this year ;)

    3-3

Both defenses made of Jingo bricks!

    Indeed, lots of goals please!

Well I have Given in my FF team so a 0-0 draw will suit me, preferably involving Given making 2 penalty saves along the way.

I reckon City will win it by 2 goals though. Tevez will probably score if he's involved.

    Teams:

City : Given, Zabaleta, Toure, Lescott, Bridge, SWP, De Jong, Barry, Petrov, Tevez, Bellamy.

West Ham : Green, Faubert, Da Costa, Tomkins, Ilunga, Diamanti, Kovac, Parker, Noble, Jimenez, Cole.

Dissapointing to see Hines on the bench, was looking forward to watching him.

It's a huge outsider but I was impressed with West Ham last week.

After Wigan beating Chelsea pretty easily anything can happen !

    yeah.

sorry wasn't clear in my first post; but that's an awesome bet.

unlikely, but for those odds definitely worth a fiver at least of anyone's money.

the first couple of minutes are a bit ominous for west ham.

far, far too much space for City to work in.

edit: f*ck that was easy for City. 1-0 tevez

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,792 ✭✭✭✭JPA

That was easy, no-one in 10 foot of Petrov.

I was going to post but boards stopped working that it was the type of game where if City didn't score again West Ham would get back into it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

nice home decision there from the ref.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,172 ✭✭✭NaiveMelodies

I can see another 4-3 in citys favour.

Lol come on now. De Jong has had at least two free kicks given against him that weren't. And the on by SWP for their goal was questionable to say the least.

Could hardly be called a homer, I think he's just crap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Bah there goes my clean sheet. Hopefully Shay has a lot of shots to save tonight.

can't disagree with at least two of those frees, but the free kick decision was a definite homer.

he thought about it, the crowd squealed, he gave it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

maybe the ref is just crap.

farcical to penalise cole there. he made lescott look like an eejit. cole may as well come off. he's not allowed use his strength at all so he'll be useless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

West Ham should have got a goal there.

When he gets enough chances he'll score. :p

West Ham are getting a lot of space.
Another goal for them would be fun.
