Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rangers Vs Sevilla tonight could be a good game, and is the pick of them for me. Sevilla are playing very very well this season, and Rangers' home record is not too bad.

Ill be flicking between that and Barca Vs Kiev when I get home anyway.

There is every chance Sevilla will destroy us to be honest, were not looking good at the moment and have a woeful record against Spanish teams.

I'll be happy with a draw.

Kazan - Inter playing now. Kazan have started well.

    Kazan 1-0 up!

Inter to flop in Europe, AGAIN!

Rubin have just scored and what a stunner of a goal

Samuel is such a useless defender. Booked already.

Peach of a goal for Rubin.

Inter looking a bit to sluggish to start.

Cracking atmosphere in the stadium by the home fans.

I think his lack of pace could be exposed throughout the game when Inter push forward as Rubin's forwards look pacey and will be looking to hit Inter on the break.

Should be loads of goals here, nearly 2-0!

Doesn't help when he's playing with Roque Jr. Part Two.

    Rubin should be 2-0 up

Navas missed a sitter of a header chance with a ball in by Dominguez.

Ws just thinking the same - Rubin's defence doesn't look very solid at all either.

    What a shambles!

    Let's see more goals!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    well played maicon.

ridiculously lax defending, and a decent stankovic header.

    1-1.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

    Geez 1-1
    Awful goal to give away
Stankavohic with a gimme of a header at the back post.
He was literally in acres of space ;)
    Awful awful defending
    Crowd gone very quiet.

    Wowzer Balotelli!

Any predictions for final score? 4-4?

Tasty shot from Balotelli tipped onto the bar there.

    Great effort and good keeping.

Cant see this ending 1-1 given the quality of the defending on display.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

    'keeper saved Rubin's bacon there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Can definitely see a red card here as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

lucio really is a comedy defender.

i actually laugh watching him try to defend.

I'm going to say 4-3 with Inter's greater firepower up front.

Can see one of the Inter defenders getting sent off with 2 yellows as it seems any time a quick ball is played up by Rubin they foul.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,680 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

inter are looking dangerous down that RW

I just cant see Inter doing anything in Europe with their CB combo.

Can see why Mourinho was interested in Carvalhio during the summer.

Lucio was probably signed by the Inter president Moratti. Doesn't look like a Mourinho player at all.

Other than taking his goal, Stankovic has been poor. Mancini has been non-existant. Eto'o and Balotelli have done well with the poor service they've gotten. Maicon been the star man. That's why he's the best right back in the world.

Kazan very quick on the break, awful in defence though.

Yup would agree with all that especially Mancini - I think he popped up once and I went - hmm forgot he was playing - utterly anonymous.

I don't think there's much in the way of quality for Kazan on Maicon's side so he's getting a lot of joy there.

Cambiasso was Inter's bright spark after they went 1-0 down until they equalised. Was very involved in the play in that period, but has kinda gone quiet again. Watchable game in that you get the feeling that pretty much every attack could lead to a goal but rather un-CL like. Kazan look very limited for a side in the CL and a lot of Inter's players performances very far below their potential.

A decent starter for the evening's main action.

If that was the case he wouldn't be starting, we have Cordoba who can play there and Chivu can move into centre with Santon on the left. Both of these would be better options than having Lucio in centre, Mourinho has chosen to start him there ahead of the others so he must be happy with him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Just looking at the Kazan goal again. Inter defending looks even worse the second time.

Don't think Mourinho could have been too happy with him there for the goal.

As Pat Dolan said Dominguez "walked past him" :p

Twas a shocker of a goal to conceed.

No, but he chose to start him before the game and I also doubt he will make his choice based just on that. I don't rate him as good enough to play for us myself but Mourinho doesn't strike me as the type of manager who would pick him because Moratti told him to, and for that matter Moratti doesn't strike me as the type of president/owner who would tell him to either.

Fair enough - maybe Mourinho underestimated the threat Rubin would pose.

Kazan look there for the taking now to be honest.

That "dive" from Mancini was shocking.

But he has started every game this season for Inter, Mourinho wanted a centre back who could play the ball in the summer and Carvalho was his first choice but was overpriced so he got Lucio instead. I would personally move Chivu in beside Samuel and play Santon on the left but Mourinho seems to think that you need one of your CB's to be able to play the ball.

Oooh - could have been a goal there for Rubin, don't think it was a penalty

Balotelli off for 2nd - looks a bit harsh as the tackle wasnt too bad, but should have known better with the way the ref was handing out yellows earlier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Kazan carved open Inter again there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Samuel did well there in the 2 on 1

Early touch by Bominguez and would have been a 1 on 1 v the keeper.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

    Lovely "fall" there by Quaresma.
