quick question regarding licence!

29-09-2009 5:09pm#1i left my renewal forms in about a month ago and today i received letters saying my forms were received and are being processed and i will have word by 26-12-09.
my problem is my extension letters are only till 31-10-09
what happens if i have not heard back by halloween are my firearms illegally held then??
has anyone else noticed this?0
