Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    exactly.

    Fiorentina dominated in the first half & got two goals.

    Liverpool dominated in the second half & got none.

    Hence why they deserved their win.

    But lets not pretend Fiorentina outplayed Liverpool for 90 mins.

    I disagree that Liverpool dominated the second half, disagree entirely.

    But, seeing as we won't ever agree on that point, there's not really much point discussing it any further, I'll only start calling you names.

    Is it fair to say after looking at pool last night that the defence is gonna be the achilles heel this season. Pool league position is a false one coz theyve played none of the big 3 yet !...we can all beat stoke hull and burnley at home , its when you come up against half decent sides like spurs , villa and fiorentina that pool defence has been found wanting. Next sunday is a huge game for pool credentials

    I think if Liverpool beat Lyon at home they'll qualify. Simple as. I fancy them to do so. Take max points at home and get at least a draw to Debrecen away, easy!

    :confused::confused:

    You really think it'll be that easy?

    Lyon already on 6 and have Debrecen to play at home
    Fiorentina ahead of the Pool with 2 Debrecen games to play
    Liverpool in third place with the other best team in the group to play twice.

    Weird to see how Liverpool have changed so much in the past 2 seasons, despite no real major changes in the defense, they now seem very very susceptible in defense, but also (when the midfield isn't completely over-run) seem lethal in attack. Usually Liverpool's game plan was based on having a very very solid defense, and a capable enough attack. It'll be interesting to see how those tactics fare against the big guns of European football, considering you dismantled big teams with ruthless pressure and a solid back 5.

    Mascherano's contract, Sundays game vs Chelsea, and the love-in between boggles and Mr Alan have two fifths of fúck all to do with this thread.

    When you're all ready, Fiorentina vs Liverpool...

    Yes back to last nights game. We were just awful. Montenegro forward took his goals well but we were opened up to easy.
