New Samsung L700 & worse reception

    I replaced my Sony J7 with a Samsung L700 3 weeks ago,which I bought from Carphone Wharehouse. I now get "No service " or 1 bar on signal strength and am missing calls. When I put the sim back in my Sony j7, I get 3 or 4 bars on reception. Has anyone else had a reception issue when changing handsets? Can i get my money back? Advice appreciated.
