I was down Dublin Docks on Monday evening and out of the darkness came a freight train with an 071 up front. Took a good while to pass and was all containers. I thought IR had stopped carrying freight a few years ago. Great to seet it back, brings back memories of my apprenticeship in Inchicore and my dad was a train…

There was a piece in the independent a month or twp back that freight traffic would be resuming between The docks and Ballina!!!

Thats great news. I remember seeing a train in spain carrying Cars. Id say there were 40 carriages. It was great to see.
