Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Can someone point me in the direction of where is best to ask questions about building a house in the North. We are at VERY early stages and I need help in researching architects etc.

    Thanks

    Best direction? Definitely try North.

    sorry...:(

You could try "ukselfbuild" yahoo forum (google search should find it), or just post questions here

I have to admit its much the same as building a house in the South, Building Control has more involvement at each stage of the project on site, which does help.

Looking for an Architect look up http://www.rsua.org.uk/

I'd also go and get yourelf a copy of Self Build Ireland magazine or check out the website and I'd absolutely get along to one of the shows. We're not long finished building and found the show really helpful in the early stages. It allowed us to check out a range of things from architects and builders to heating systems in one day, under one roof.

We went to a show in City West about 2-3 weeks ago. Not so relevant for were we are at.
