Meetup locations in Athlone?

Where would be a good place to hold an informal and preferably free meeting for twenty to thirty people in Athlone? I've wandered around there before but don't know the place very well, but its in the middle of the country so its a good location.

I cant think of anywhere big enough where you could get 30 people together without meeting in a hotel function room

Thats what I was afraid of. Large pubs maybe?
