Broadband line question

    Hi Guys,
I live in a very very old house. We have an extra telephone ringer inside in a back kitchen. This ringer is 18-20years old and still works (if you hit it while the phone is ringing!). The bell is cabled in just after the line comes in the window, directly after the black box thingy and it's before the mail telephone socket (it is not cabled from the socket)

My line just got approved for broadband (max 2mb only) and I am wondering:

    1. Would this ancient bell cause me an issue? Is that possibly why I can only get 2mb?

    2. Would the internal premise cabling (also old) be a factor between the window and the main socket?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Joe Leavy
