Did anyone see all of the police cars in Dun Laoghaire at lunchtime ? Multiple police and unmarked cars flying around the back of georges street, the hospital etc and all over, sirens blaring. Anyone know what that was all about ?

Hope the Gardaí don't mind the Police moving in on their patch.

A man was arrested yesterday in relation to a post office robbery at Monkstown, Co Dublin. The post office on Carrickbrennan Road was held up at 12.45pm yesterday.

A sum of money and an imitation firearm were later recovered by gardaí.

The man was being held at Dun Laoghaire Garda station last night.

However, gardaí said that two people may have carried out the theft.

What's the story with all the sirens? I've never heard anything like it! They're (mainly Gardai) screeching past me 2 or 3 times a day..
