who is the "hairy" economist

    ESRI Economist on Primetime last night , I only caught the end of it but he sounded like a good guy, Swedish I believe. Who is he?

    That would be Richard Tol. On the hairiness scale, he's closely followed by Fitzgerald, although Tol has quite a lead :D.

    In fairness, he did mention certain favourable factors which gave him this position, and then provided alternative rankings excluding these factors which saw a decline in his standing in the tables.
