The cloud has broken up but still less than blazing. Very mild when the sun does show. Very very still.

Here in Sligo the October weather has been mild dry and settled and I have been able to totally redesign my weather website. http://weathergossip.com

It may not be the most spectacular website but I do spend a large amount of my time search the WWW for long range weather forecasts for Ireland and then I put them on this website.

I have a reasonable record of forecasting weather events. There are moments that define certain periods of weather and one is coming at the end of October. You see there is a Low coming over Ireland next week and then a High is beginning to develop over Scandanavia. As the days are going on the High is developing more and shoving cold air westards at a slow pace it has to be said but it is.

What this defines is that there may be a cold November in the offing if it occurs , however if that Low gets any momentum going and starts dragging its other friends behind it we could be in for an endless flow of mild wet and windy weather. At the moment it is hard to say but Highs are on a High at the moment so even in a couple of days it may be more apparent.

Maybe a wet week next and then a drier one the following and then the start of November could be cold. One thing I would think is that Ireland may see some of the white stuff in November this year!
