Yeah, it's good I suppose. Haven't done a whole lot with it yet, but the photo editing program I use (lightroom) is running nicely (although my old machine had only 2 GB's of RAM, versus 4 in the new one)

I tried to register for the Windows 7 upgrade there and it said my laptop wasn't in the system yet or something. Hopefully that sorts itself out....

Lightroom 3 beta runs smoothly too :)

If within ten days it doesn't register chat/email dell and let them know,They should sort it with in 24 hours IIRC

I have that sorted now, hope the disc doesn't take too long to arrive.

    I'm using Lightroom 3 too, it's nice!!

For the record Bios A08 has been released...

This means the display will now auto-dim thanks to a feature in Windows 7!

Wonder can anyone help me out here. I've ordered the Windows 7 Upgrade disk from Dell and it's on this way. Do I have to wipe Vista off the computer or will this be done automatically when I install Windows 7? If not, how do I wipe Vista off? I've never uninstalled an OS before. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

As far as I know, you can install it and still keep all your stuff/programs intact. I haven't installed mine yet but it's fairly straightforward AFAIK.
