    Folks

building a new rig on i7 920, but am transferring my old rigs bits into a new chassis for my kids

Transplanted old bits into a new chassis, but getting "DISK Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and press enter"

In the post it picks up on

Sata Channel 2 Disk: CHS SATA II, 500GB
Sata Channel 4 Disk: LBA SATA II, 640GB

There are my disks with my windows Vista and windows 7 !

I don't have a DVD connected yet becuase I'm short a sata power plug, so went into BIOS and set first and second boot devices to HDD

Any ideas that can help me ?

    Any ideas lads ?!

Have you set the system drive to boot first as otherwise it wont boot?

I didn't have the system boot on Sata connector 1, shouldn't make a difference but it did.

    Thanks for your input
