Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dublin’s most exciting Talk Radio station is coming on-air on October 5th at 8:00am. Currently on the Irish market there is only one Independent Talk station which caters for the News and Current affairs market. “RealRadio” the hot talk station will be very different in its target demographic and target audience with the focus on listener interaction and entertainment as well the news. This station wants to give listeners the chance to participate in every single show.

Real Radio is the newest station to be licensed by the BCI for a pilot/Temporary run in October. The station boss Niall Boylan, who himself is no stranger to Talk Radio, has previously presented one of the most listened to talk shows in the city during his time with Dublin’s 98fm. He will be heading up the breakfast show on the station and has told us that in time, he hopes to apply for a full license when one becomes available .Niall wants to prove that Dublin needs diversity in Talk Radio, and that not everybody wants to hear the current content on Talk radio in the market. He also thinks that there is very little listener interaction and feels we need to give Dubliners what they have always wanted, the chance to air their views to the people that matter, live on radio.

So far the station’s line up is looking really hot. On breakfast, Niall Boylan (former 98fm talk show host) will be joined by comedian and navan man Donal Norton, also in studio will be Jason Byrne (comedian), Bob Mackenzie (former FM104 sports guru) and a really well known female presenter is still to be unveiled . Also each every morning they will be joined by a host of guests, comedians, and friends. “THE MORNING MONSTERS” as they are called will be taking calls, inviting in the listeners, and just generally having fun and talking about whatever you want to talk about

Mike Moloney after Midday (former 2FM) will playing devils advocate to all your complaints. Niall says “Complain about anything you want. Maybe it’s the price of petrol, the washing machine that won’t work or the state of the country’s health service and the station will endeavour to fight your case and help to get the appropriate people on-air to hear your grievance”. He Will be Joined by Sara Miller ( she is will keep him in his place

Chris Barry is back!!!!!! Yes the former 98fm talk show host who took Dublin by storm in the late 90s is back to do what he does best and believe me he wont be holding back any punches . Listeners can call and join Chris as he challenges the wrong doers in society and takes them to task !!!

Anne Sexton from “Hot Press" will be presenting the “Ladies Room “every evening. Niall says “at the moment there is no station providing a talk show just for Girls. Women can call in and talk about, love, romance, break-ups and there is no better presenter to give advice on sexual problems”. Niall also says “The guys will enjoy eves dropping on the conversation, which is the best part

Gregg Merrimanand Izzy(ex-FM104 host) will be hotting up the night times with a phone show to compete in the current Dublin market. Niall says “Greg is the best man to give the competitors a run for their money and will certainly have a few surprises. He will be joined by a co-host and won’t be holding back and wants your calls. Izzy is the ultimate party girl and wont be holding back :-)

Other presenters on the Station will be Marty Miller and Dee ( ex-98fm)Enda Caldwell (Ex-Today Fm) Ian Garland ( East Coast ) , Jason O Callaghan , Barry Hartigan , Dennis Murray , Brian Ormond , Mickey Joe Harte ( yes the singer) , John O Donavan ( 98fm and newstalk )and many more

Moynihan Russel studios in Dublin have taken on the mammoth task of giving “ RealRadio” the big American Hot Talk sound to give it the professional edge over its competitors in the market

Niall believes real radio will be something that Dubliners wont want to miss single second of, as he says “You will never know what is going to happen next “. This will make it one of the most addictive stations on the airwaves. Boylan stresses “The most important thing is to give normal every day Dubliners a Voice in

Here is the clincher to entice all the radio listeners. Real Radio Dublin’s Hot talk wants to be the only radio station to offer lucky listeners the chance to win “ ONE MILLION Euro “ and wants to make sure somebody gets a chance to win the big prize . When asked what the long term plan was ex-98fm Radio host Niall Boylan Said simply “watch this space, it’s full of surprises “

Hot Talk “RealRadio” launches Today and will broadcast on 100.3fm . For more information go to www.realradio.ie all profits and proceeds from the station will be donated to the .When asked why he chooses the particular charity Boylan said “The cruelty of animals in the city is an all time high and unlike others in society who need support, our animals don’t have voices and are never heard “

Best of luck, hope it takes off in a big way and gives Talk Radio a run for it's money. :-D

I used to listen to Boylan in my troubled youth...himself and that guy Joey I think and they used to have McSavage on all the time. I just remember them having pranks like one where when the summer was a glorious one and they had an expert on about the farmers hiring this company with airplanes to mess with the weather because their crops were failing. I enjoyed it anyway...
