    Nah, I think Fianna Fail will be done for a generation. The corruption, the incompetence, the collusion with the banks...that just isnt going to wash off. Its not like the Charlie Haughey days when there was mere rumours about excess, its not like Irish people believe they can never be successful or prosperous and so dont know what the governments incompetence is costing them.

    Remember, youve got an entire generation of young people in their 20s and 30s trapped in Meath deep in negative equity. Wheres the forgiveness going to come from?
    The economy will recover, regardless of who's in government.

    Missed this the first time - thats not true. Governments can and do engage in highly damaging policies that can destroy economies. Encouraging speculation on property and deliberately erroding competitivity through profligate spending for example.

    Or sucking 54 billion out of the real economy to socialise the risk and loss by a few expendable banks.

    This vote is a con really. Does anyone serioulsy believe that this party will vote to leave govt when they may never ever get in again? Only the loonies in the party, the real loonies will vote to leave. And, there is just not enough real loonies.

    I agree. It would be political suicide for the greens if they pulled out of government. If they are sensible they should know that they will be decimated if they go into a general election now.

    If they are sensible that is........
