Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Could be bad cable or bad case electronics, hard drive could be fine. Any possiblility of taking it out of the case and connecting directly to a motherboard?

Also, if you have lots of other USB devices connected, try removing them all except the external drive.

Can be lots of things. You might have better success with a linux boot disk like Knoppix for accessing and recovering the data.

Are you using an extra long USB cable ? That can cause this problem sometimes
