Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I saw a Canon 500D for €850 in a shop with the 18-55 IS Lens and a free voucher for a night for two including breakfast at Portmarnock Golf Resort. Is this good value?

I think there was a thread yesterday which reported being annoyed that Irish retailers wouldn't drop below €790 (or something like that) so I think there may be slightly better value out there. iirc the voucher for b&b was replaced with a voucher for photography training.

Browse back over the last days post and you should come across it.

I looked at that thread. Ya it was in Harvey Norman i was looking but I don't think the photo training day is replaced by the B+B. Its canon who offer the training and its h. norman who offer the b+b on any purchase over €500

Ok, I'm gonna buy one with the 18-55 IS lens for €720 in argos. I don't think you get the free training with it though. Camera Centre Ireland seemed alright as well and it would cost €720 there if I held a valid student card due to canon's cashback offer, but I don't so Argos is the way to go for me
