Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Suspected nut poisoning terror threat

    Wednesday October 07 2009

Scientists have identified a fatally virulent viral nut contamination that has been traced to stocks of Iranian pistachios. The Iranian pistachio crop is worth an estimated 200 Billion Rials p.a. and the threat is being taken seriously by the Iranian government. A news blackout has apparently been enforced since the first cases were identified in June this year. Informed sources say the acute symptoms manifest in fever with hallucinations and rabies style paranoia similar to fungal based psychedelics. The patients have to be locked up such is the danger they represent to their own well being.
WHO has sought urgent consultations with Iranian officials to determine what measures have benn taken to prevent the export of this virus along with pistachio nuts to worldwide markets.

You do not quote any source for this "Story", which does not really make any sense, one would think the American Media would like something like this to use against the Iranians ?

I suspect Ihatewallies ate a few, then came up with this story as some kind of very bad comedy.
