    Hi
To cut a long story short the plastic panel covering my driver side mirror is missing and im just wondering would anyone have an idea how much a replacement would cost or what would be the cheapest way to get one.

    Its a 2007 astra 1.4

    cheers

A scrap yard should have one, note however if the panel is painted the same colour as the car then you might have to get the replacement part sprayed. You could be lucky though and get one from a scrap yard from a car the same colour as yours.

    Thanks bazz
Any idea what they'd cost from a main dealer?
Like if it was just €50 or so id probably just bite the bullet but something tells me that im doing a bit of wishfull thinking!

No idea to be honest, give a dealer a ring to confirm. However given that the part probably comes by default in matt black or primed, it will then need to be painted to match your car, you are probably looking at alot more than €50 from a main dealer when you take labour prices alone into account.

You can get them new on eaby reasonable enough, You may need to have it sprayed though. You could probably do a reasonable DIY job on the spraying if needed.
