Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys

    Bit of help needed,
I am looking to record some mixes onto my laptop and then convert them to wav or mp3 to stick onto cd etc,
My laptop is old (i dont use it to play out with)
I was just wondering can anyone recommend any software for recording/converting and would i need another soundcard or anything?

    Thanks in advance

    Audacity
    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

You can use an RCA- Mini Jack from rec out or booth out on mixer to line in on PC.

This may not be an adequate solution if the only input you have is a mic in (which most older laptops have) as opposed to a line in which will result in better sound quality

    What laptop do you have?

Is there not a way to switch the Mic Input into a Line Input? In the audio preferences?

the laptop is an old HP, i just use it for burning cd's really. I will have to double check the inputs.

It is in audio preferences but this isn't available on all laptops AFAIK
