Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I am thinking of buying a 99 1.3L Corolla 89k miles, dealer tells me its a lift back model as opposed to hatchback, asking price of 1950 euro.
If any one can tell me what they think have omly seen photos on Carzone even if I seen it in person dont think it would tell me alot.
So any views, comments or experience with this model would be greatly appreciated

Chances are it'll keep on going.

    Apart from that?..........

Liftback is just another name Toyota use for 5 door hatchback. €1950 is a bit expensive for a 10 year old one to be honest. I would be aiming for the improved facelifted model from 2000 onwards that got the newer 1.4 litre VVTi engine like this one:

My father had a 2000 model for almost 4 years and the only issue it had was the crappy fisher price type stereo gave in.

My wife has one for the last 5 years, a 97 frog eye type. Has put up 50 k miles on it. Apart from some work it needed when she bought it (clutch and a set of tyres) I replaced the front struts for the last NCT, a set of brake pads, two tyres a a brake light bulb and I service it every 6 months. Has never failed to start. What more can I say

It's overpriced for what it is OP... €1400 is much more realistic. You can get better for €2k tbh.
