Hard to beat the e51 if the camera is good enough. If you want something a bit more salubrious, (and not a candybar), the N95 is a really impressive phone by any standard. They are on adverts for less that 200 either new or in very good condition.

All should work in Canada but only on some networks there (or at least that is the way it used to be)

The C510i is a great, compact handset and fits the bill with regard to your needs. The E63 would be a different handset altogether, since it's not only a smartphone, but it has a full QWERTY keypad and is bigger too.

I've used QWERTY keypads before and, while they take some getting used to, emailing and texting is much better compared to a standard keypad.

It's hard to advise which one to choose, as the form factors are very different and would make the choice more down to personable preference than capabilities. They will both work on any Canadian GSM network, as they're both GSM quad-band handsets; the E63 has the additional benefit of 3G.

With regard to features, while the 5530 has a higher camera megapixel count and can record videos in a higher resolution and frame speed, compared to the E63, reviews of both handsets' camera and video recording capabilities are average, so that may be something to consider.

Where were you planning on acquiring the 5530 from, as I couldn't see it available on Vodafone's website?

You might also want to have a look at the E52 on O2 prepaid for €199. You could think of it as an updated E63 in a different form factor, as it has similar camera and video capabilties as the 5530 with the addition of GPS with A-GPS support. It's just out of your price range, when you factor in the unlocking cost, but something tells me unlocking won't be an issue for you. ;)
