Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Hoping to apply for next year Postgrad Dip in Education. Im unsure if my degree satisfies the teaching councils requirements. I have an honours engineering degree from CIT but it doesnt appear on the list.

The degrees on the list are all HETAC approved but my course is accredited by CIT. It was once accredited by HETAC but CIT can now accredit its own degrees in some disciplines similiar to Univesities. I would like to teach mathematics and hope my engineering degree satisfies this. anyone know?

The only sure way to know is to download the application form for recognition of a degree from the teaching council website and post it off with the relevant documentation and the fee (€200 I think).
