Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey, heading over to Madrid for a weekend at the end of the month and was wondering what hotels would anyone recommend! Its going to be a lads weekend away so are main concern will be location to the best pubs and clubs in the city!

We also intend on heading to a Real Madrid game so proximity to the stadium would also be a factor! Has anyone any advice on getting tickets for one of Reals games?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

www.servicaixa.com is the site for Real tickets, think they go on sale about a week before the games and you can select each seat individually which is handy. There is a metro stop for the Bernabeu so it's very easy to get to and the metro is frequent and extensive so you wouldn't need to stay right beside it. You can do the stadium tour and museum where you get to walk around the pitch, see the directors boxes, dug out, changing rooms etc.

Lots of bars and clubs near Plaza de Santa Ana, Gran Via and Tribunal.

I wouldn't stay out near the stadium to be honest. Stay closer to the the centre and the bars/restaurants.

We went over in Jan and bought our tickets for a Real game in advance. We paid over the odds compared to what we would have paid on the day. Unless Real are playing one of the BIG teams in the league, the match wont sell out...So I'd say wait till you get there to buy the tickets.

Don't worry about finding somewhere to stay near the stadium - it's easily accessible by the (very efficient) metro. And I'm pretty sure you can just pick up tickets at the stadium on the day, unless of course they're playing Barcelona or something ;)

    Try the Sol area.
