    Something that marks the date, e.g. a gold or silver coin.

    Something practical - clothes.

    Cold hard cash.

    I am Godfather for a friends son this weekend and I, through this site, came up with the following gifts. Prize Bonds (from €25) and an ABC name in a frame (€50 incl pp) from www.babyandchristening.ie Gift arrived within 2 days of ordering and it looks good! Something for now and something for life!
