Been there too, but in the end, made a choice and submitted (thanks to the advice from my friends on facebook too).

You won't see this in the book. Thought the contrast to the pale background would be too harsh and maybe the picture would be too abstract.

That was my second choice.. I went with something a little more personal than urinals Not that I've submitted it yet!!

Didn't even know there was a book, I need to read the stickies more often.
As urinal pics go thats quite a good one, I myself take many of urinals....I'm sometimes in them.

I was more worried about the 'dark' printing, so shots like this were rejected on that basis.

Thanks, folks.. The picture I've chosen is probably not as good, technically, but it means more to me. Thing is, it's quite dark, so I'm worried about it.. Might try to lighten it up a bit or might change my mind

I'm still somewhat undecided, I've two prints of the one picture I had in mind, from the same file but one through an online site and one I did through a mini-lab, and they came out totally different, so am a little worried about submitting that.

Bleh, at least I have a few more days to finalise my choice.

The boards photography book 2009 (BPB) there is one sticky here and all the others in Expeditions. You can't buy it yet but before christmas.

I was originally going to put this one in, but because it was my desktop wallpaper for months i was sick looking at it

This nearly made it except its very similar to last years submission and I didn't feel confident that it would come out well due to the darkness of the shot.



However looking at the other 2nd bests I am feeling a bit worried now !!!!

Its shaping up to be a damn good addition to our bookshelves again

didn't have to think terribly hard to be honest - the submitted image was somewhat obvious to me but mightn't be to everyone else (except for oscarbravo and m_s_nixon who saw the email / pm and know the score )

this one was in the back of my mind for a while;



also thought briefly about this one (albeit would have needed some reprocessing - i don't like how I sharpened a little too much in the version on pix.ie);

Well, I agonised long and hard over what to submit. In the end, this is the one I left out.



Next year I'll probably submit a sports image.
