    This thread is funny.....

    ..... well its more the Metal band's names; Opeth, Deicide, Mastodon, Canibal Corpse, vader, obituary,marduk (more duck) and the funniest is deffinately Christian Death. I've haven't heard of most of them.

    I have to dissagree with most posters as i love Kings of Leon and The Artic Monkeys (but not their overplayed stuff). I do certainly agree with the hatered of "pop rock" though.

    To give you sort of a profile of me; my favourite artists are stuff like James Brown, Chili Peppers, Hendrix, Daft Punk, Nirvana, The Avalanches, and Goerge Clinton and Parliment Funkidelic.

    I find it hard to hate rock bands but the bands that I just can't listen to are

    My Chemical Romance
    Blink182
    All American Rejects
    Lost Prophets
    Bowling For Soup
    30 Seconds to Mars

    BTW I realise none of these bands are Heavy/Hard Rock but I noticed others listing them as well.

    That's funny cos none of those bands (apart from Arctic Monkeys maybe) are actually indie bands. I think you need to look up the definition of what 'indie' music is :rolleyes:

    I don't really hate any bands, i just simply ignore their existence if i think they suck. Looking at all the bands mentioned on these pages i'm guessing people either hate them because they're successful or because their friends hate them, so they must do too to look cool.

    Well, bands that are even 'less heavy' than Coldplay have been mentioned.

    Definitely Dragonforce.

    Not too fond of Metallica, Iron Maiden or Aerosmith either. Then theres the Bullet for my Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, and Benighted.

    Agreed. Simple solution is not to watch it. All music channels suck anyway so youtube is the way to go :D

    To be pedantic, I said all indie music seperately to the bands i mentioned, not inferring that they specifically were or werent indie [/pedant]
